Genetic studies showed that sengis belong to a group called Afrotheria, which includes: 🐘 Elephants 🐘‍🦣 Hyraxes (those potato-looking mountain animals) 🐄 Sea cows (manatees and dugongs) 🐜 Aardvarks 🐹 Sengis (elephant shrews) 🐹 Golden moles So, bizarrely, a sengi is more closely related to an elephant than it is to a mouse.
